As of the 1st of October 2007, the Japanese Post Office service became a private sector company and is no longer a service run by the state.
In thier great wisdom the new Japanese Post Office service decided to completely redesign thier homepage removing a very powerful and easy to use English shipping rates calculator in the process. Gone is the automation in favor of data lists.
The service itself has not changed and as ever, the Japanese service sector is probably one of the best in the world. Coupled with the global standard of EMS, its without doubt the cheapest and most reliable way to send something safely around the world.
